Core Healing from Sexual Abuse (available in English and Spanish) is a therapeutic method integrating Scripture that can be used by individuals for their personal healing journeys; it can also be implemented as part of individual or group therapy. Therapists, lay counselors and pastors can increase their people-helping skills for survivors of sexual abuse by understanding and sharing Core Healing from Sexual Abuse. Marti also counsels couples, helping them build communication and relational skills. She and her husband Alan are certified in Prepare-Enrich and have facilitated marriage seminars throughout the United States and internationally. They co-authored the workbook "Relationships Pure and Simple," for high school and college students and single adults pursuing positive premarital relationships. In her therapeutic work, Marti incorporates diverse counseling techniques, from cognitive behavioral to solution focused. Children's unique situations and concerns are addressed with compassionate care utilizing play therapy, art, music and other modalities tailored to each child. Adolescent therapy provides customized treatment relevant to the diverse, significant needs of today's youth. A member of the American Association
of Christian Counselors, she is committed to integrating biblical
truth and principles as a vital part of the counseling process.
